Brasiella contains 54 species. It ranges from Arizona and Florida to northern Argentina, and is also found in the West Indies (Kippenhan et al. 2013).
While some species of Brasiella are colorful, many are brown. The one shown here has some greenish metallic reflections in certain angles of light. It is also has a little blue peeking through on the elytra (best seen in the bottom photo) but its overall appearance was muddy brown with the typical tiger beetle markings barely showing.
