Length: usually 12 - 30 mm in the genus

 

In the Neotropics Eburia is a speciose and widespread genus; eleven species are also found in the Nearctic. Adults of the genus are commonly attracted to lights. Adult Eburia have emerged from flooring and furniture 10 years or more after the tree was cut.

The beetle shown seems consistent with Eburia pedestris, a species found from southern Mexico to Honduras.
