Chlorocoris stink bugs are large, rather flat, and greenish. Some have red or black markings. Some species are determined by the male genitalia. Don Thomas comments that these "are so highly modified in some species that it is difficult to image how coition is achieved."
Chlorocoris distinctus is found from Arizona to Colombia and Ecuador. Often found in association with leguminous trees (Thomas, 1985).
Photo location: Tuis, Costa Rica.
Determined by Dr. Donald B. Thomas, USDA Agricultural Research Service.
