Chauliodes rastricornis ranges over most of eastern North America, from Nova Scotia to Louisiana.
Its congener, Chauliodes pecticornis, emerges in the Summer, but C. rastricornis is a Spring species. The example shown here had its picture taken in late March at Leroy Percy State Park in Mississippi.
